The KingDome is back and it’s better than ever!
It doesn’t get easier or tastier this. 11 Briquettes, and an hour and a half later.

KingDome Chicken – Method
Pack 11 briquettes onto the coal grid inside your PotjieKing. Put a couple of firelighters in the bottom section and get that going.
- Rub a small amount of oil over the chicken.
- Poke a few holes in the lemon and insert it into the cavity.
- Salt and pepper the chicken to your taste
- Place the chicken, breast side up, and cover with the PotjieKing Dome. Keep both doors of the PotjieKing closed and keep the vents on the dome closed as well.
- Turn after 45 min.
- Cook for another 45 min.
Feel free to spice your chicken up with any herbs or spices that take your fancy! Also adding wood smoking chips will add another dimension. When smoking its recommended to keep the vents on the dome partly or fully open to allow the fresh smoke to pull through over the meat.
